DESCRIPTION:For the month of September\, Women & Wine will feature a program featuring Kristen Baltrum of Annie and Millie's Place.\n\n\n\nImagine a place for humans and animals in need\, together. Our mission at Annie and Millie's Place is to keep people experiencing homelessness together with their fur family by evolving pet-friendly solutions\, programs and resources. Annie and Millie's Place was created out of the idea that people and their pets should have the opportunity to stay together\, no matter the situation. We are a group of Annie's family and friends who have joined together to carry out Annie's vision of giving homeless humans a respite from the streets alongside their animal companions. The pillar of our purpose is to build an open-minded network of people and bring awareness to human-animal homelessness.\n\n\n\nJoin us for a night at Kuper Wine Bar to hear Annie and Millie's story and the work being done in their memory. From direct interactions with folks through our Street Outreach\, all the way up to the Congressional offices of our nation's leadership through our advocacy efforts\, Annie and Millie's Place has been doing inspiring work to provide resources for our vulnerable community members and their animal family members. You'll hear real stories of resilience\, discover how our unique approach keeps people and pets together\, and find out how you can be part of the solution. Dream with us as we imagine this place\, Annie and Millie's Place\, where no one has to choose between a safe and secure place to sleep and their animal companion. It's an inspiring night of connection\, conversation\, and community   with a side of great wine.\n\n\n\nTicket prices are $30 for WAW members\; $50 for non-members.
