One fiddle, one guitar, one friendship—that’s all you need. At least, that’s what Colorado’s own Trace & Baerd demonstrate. They write songs that sound like memories—wordlessly weaving together strands of Celtic, Americana, Scandinavian, Bluegrass, Jazz, and Magic to create something new and yet deeply familiar.

Elevation, their all-original debut album produced by Punch Brothers’ own Brittany Haas, is a celebration of honesty, spontaneity, and sincerity. It pairs best with your morning coffee, your afternoon walk, or your long drive home. Lush, stark, calming, uplifting, surprising and familiar, the music of Trace & Baerd is what it sounds like to set off on a journey with a friend by your side.
Lucy is a singer and multi-instrumentalist making music in Lyons, Colorado with her band THE NIGHT CHILDREN, playing some of the thousands of songs that she has collected and loved in her lifelong study of American music, one handful at a time.
